Job Description/Summary/Objectives:

University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Health Plan, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Analyst to create and develop complex relational databases to extract, sort, and report large volumes of data related to marketing and business analytics for health management software. Create algorithms and design database environments to enhance reporting capabilities and business intelligence on pricing and competitor services. Collect, update, and merge disparate information to create gap analysis studies to identify areas where business can improve features, functionality, services, or pricing of product offerings. Organize and analyze data for data visualization, financial forecasting, project evaluation, predictive modeling, and business strategy decision-making. Develop and recommend business changes or new products or modifications based on data analytics.

Job Responsibilities:

- Create and develop complex relational databases to extract, sort, and report large volumes of data related to marketing and business analytics for health management software.
- Create algorithms and design database environments to enhance reporting capabilities and business intelligence on pricing and competitor services.
- Collect, update, and merge disparate information to create gap analysis studies to identify areas where business can improve features, functionality, services, or pricing of product offerings.
- Organize and analyze data for data visualization, financial forecasting, project evaluation, predictive modeling, and business strategy decision-making.
- Develop and recommend business changes or new products or modifications based on data analytics.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications and Licensure/Certification:

-Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field and 2 years of experience conducting data analysis for business intelligence, or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field and 5 years of experience conducting data analysis for business intelligence.
-Prior work experience must include at least 1 year with Entity Relationship (ER) diagrams.
-Prior work experience must include at least 1 year with creating relational databases.
-Prior work experience must include at least 1 year with writing algorithms in Excel to accomplish complex tasks.
