Description
Purpose:Maintains a safe, secure environment for Sherwood Oaks residents, staff and visitors to the property. The patrol person also provides transportation for residents according to facility policies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with 24-hour coverage of the gatehouse each day, periodically monitors the lake for potential hazards.
- Is alert for irregularities, implements emergency procedures as necessary.
- Complete rounds according to the schedule for each shift, securing exits, checking lighting, inspecting exteriors around all buildings and inside laundry rooms and surveying the interior of the center.
- Respond to emergencies as needed.
- Attend all mandatory in-service education programs.
- Provide access to facilities by authorized residents and personnel.
- Provide transportation to residents for recreation and medical needs.
- Participate in meetings as directed by the Director of Security.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 235 with firearms or Act 235 without firearms (within the first 180 days of employment).
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) within one year of employment
- Driver's License
- Act 34
- OAPSA
- UPMC Physical Fitness Standard
