Description

Research at the Brain Body Stress Laboratory is focused on examining stress-related neural pathways in the brain and how they may be shaped by early life experience, including adverse experiences. We are currently examining young adults with a range of childhood experiences and mood, anxiety and trauma-related symptoms. 


This employee will conduct structured clinical interviews to assess mood, anxiety and trauma-related disorders and identify potential exclusionary issues and write reports describing interview outcomes and diagnoses. The employee will assist in recruitment procedures and phone screening, as well as data-related tasks, including data processing. 


This position is grant funded.

Purpose:
Independently execute job functions for research protocol(s). Mentor, train, & assist with supervising junior research staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Independently execute job functions for research protocol(s) including recruitment, collecting data from subjects, assist with preparation of scientific articles, assist with data analysis, assist with IRB and grant submissions as needed.
  • Mentor, train, and assist with supervising junior research staff.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree required preferably in psychology, neuroscience, counseling, sociology, or related research field.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in a research project and/or related clinical setting is required.
  • Familiarity with computers and common software packages required. 
  • Working knowledge of research methodology strongly preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
