Description

Purpose:
Performs selected audiovisual and media production services.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct vendor meetings and negotiate pricing for equipment/supply purchases.
  • Coordinate operations of conference center and all classroom facilities. Analyze and recommends need for equipment and technological upgrades.
  • Provide videoconferencing and videotaping services for training and teaching, including complex dubbing and editing services.
  • Responsible for following the mandatory reporting procedures for any incident or serious event that did affect or potentially could have affected the clinical care of any patient.
  • Maintain all media and other audiovisual equipment held by the Department of Education.
  • Schedule, deliver and prepare audiovisual equipment and software. Provide all audiovisual and projectionist assistance as required. Organize and track the location of all hospital audiovisual hardware and software.
  • Maintain a computer-based inventory of all audiovisual hardware.
  • Provide minor maintenance on all audiovisual hardware, maintains record of use and service maintenance of all audiovisual equipment and is responsible for scheduling equipment service contract visits by commercial vendors.
  • Coordinate in-house patient TV system: programming, operating, and maintaining system using current technology.
  • Consult with physicians and hospital staff on audiovisual requirements for presentations.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Photography, Communications or related field with knowledge of media production including complex editing and dubbing.
  • Two years experience as an Audiovisual Specialist.Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle frequent changes in work priorities.
  • Demonstrated independent judgment skills with the ability to make appropriate decisions with minimum supervision.
  • Current knowledge of evolving audiovisual technologies equipment, procedures and concepts.
