Description

This position is housed within the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division of Western Psychiatric Hospital. The clinical research program is within the Child and Adolescent Bipolar Services (CABS) Clinic. This position will be responsible for completing adherence coding for a psychotherapy study of youth with bipolar disorder using a structured scale. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated reliability in administering the DBT Adherence Coding Scale. 


This is a grant funded position. 


Purpose:

To conduct DBT adherence coding for a randomized clinical trial of DBT for adolescents with bipolar disorder.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain acceptable level of inter-rater reliability on the DBT adherence measure.
  • Submit all paperwork and data in a timely fashion
  • Rate videotaped therapy sessions from the ongoing clinical trial to assess adherence to the treatment model as assigned.
  • Attend all study-related meetings and trainings..
  • Complete and enter DBT adherence scores into standardized spreadsheets for every session rated.
  • Participate in all conference calls with DBT adherence coding supervisor.
  • Complete inter-rater reliability ratings quarterly as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in mental health related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience required.
  • Current certification as a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) adherence coder by the University of Washington required.
  • The ability to function independently required

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Current certification as a DBT adherence coder by the University of Washington required.

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal 
  • Act 33 with renewal 
  • Act 34 with renewal 
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
