Description

The Eagle's Nest program is designed for youth participants in the Erie area who have completed the initial training program with Bishop Brock. 

This program is a temporary position through UPMC, for a duration of 30 days. The program will include rotations through multiple areas including nursing, transport, and environmental services within UPMC Hamot. 

At the end of the program if a participant is chosen for a full-time position, he or she will be transferred via the internal transfer process.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine tasks under the guidance of the department manager/supervisor.
  • The successful candidate will interact with other employees and provide assistance for routine task.
  • Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Peforms other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent program required.
  • Completion of the Bishop Brock orientation program required.
  • The candidate will have a working knowledge of the Microsoft system.
  • Related experience to the program/study/research is preferred.


The successful candidate must be able to:

  • Work within a team environment under direct supervision.
  • Possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Perform routine tasks under the guidance of senior staff

Licensure/Clearances

  • Basic Life Support OR Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation required
  • Act 34 Criminal clearance upon hire
