Job Description/Summary/Objectives:

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC)/Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, is recruiting a full-time pediatric orthopaedic surgeon.

The qualified physician will be actively involved in patient care; medical student, resident, and fellow teaching in the area of pediatric orthopaedic surgery.


Job Responsibilities:

The qualified physician will be actively involved in patient care; medical student, resident, and fellow teaching in the area of pediatric orthopaedic surgery. This position will provide patient care at Children’s Hospital of UPMC in Pittsburgh, PA, three suburban satellite locations, and the Shriner’s Hospital in Erie, PA.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications and Licensure/Certification:

 

Minimum requirements include a medical degree, completion of an accredited orthopaedic residency training program, and pediatric orthopaedic fellowship with eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania. Added training in neuromuscular disorders and complex limb reconstruction is desirable. Applicants should be Board Eligible or Board Certified with significant interest and ability in clinical care and teaching. Candidates should possess strong clinical, interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills, as well as a history of scholarly publications and presentations, and evidence of interest in and involvement in research.
