Are you ready to work on the cutting edge of technology & healthcare delivery?  Are you excited to be part of a community of people who care deeply about changing healthcare through innovation?  As one of the few integrated delivery & financing systems in the country, as well as a leading academic medical center & health system, UPMC is uniquely positioned to move quickly and creatively in the telehealth space.  The Telehealth Strategy & Solutions team at UPMC Health Plan is working to leverage telehealth technologies & applications to make health care delivery more convenient, lower cost, and more member-centric.  We are hiring a Digital Product Manager II to work on our direct-to-consumer telehealth product and member experience, as well as support new product development.  You’ll work alongside colleagues in product development, digital health, technology, business transformation, and human-centered design, and have the opportunity to collaborate with business & clinical partners across the UPMC system and beyond. 


Responsibilities:


  • Develop go-to-market plans with Marketing and Sales.  Support “product marketing”, collaborating with internal marketing resources to support you with research and analytics.  Direct the development of messaging, creative, channel, design and targeting and campaign execution.  Create and deliver product-centered presentations to diverse audiences.  Partner with Sales and Product leaders (your distribution channels) to reach your customers and hear their feedback.   
  • When needed, create and deliver training on digital product
  • Strategically assist in the design and delivery of a holistic and consistent user experience across products
  • Help to ensure quality through UAT testing
  • Assist in the development of new/modified processes and procedures to support product strategy
  • Apply KPIs, user research, customer input, business needs, and other sources to the prioritization of product features and an evolving product vision
  • Define product strategy and maintain roadmaps for digital products
  • Transform data to insight and product decisions
  • Approve product for launch
  • Advocate for the end-user and identify opportunities to improve products to benefit the user experience
  • Change agent
  • Assess key market factors, including competitive landscape, consumer insights and unmet customer needs as input to innovative products, services and programs to meet the unique needs of users and stakeholders
  • Facilitate vendor evaluation and build vs. buy decisions.  Manage vendor contracting & implementation.  Develop strong working relationships with vendor partners.   
  • Manage products and features through the entire SDLC - unafraid to challenge whether a product/feature is still useful
  • Take on project management and/or business analysis responsibilities when those roles are not present
  • Manage personnel needs and allocations as part of the personnel scheduling committee
  • Stay current on digital trends and ensure that products remain relevant
  • Distribute credit and block blame to/from team members
  • Identify resource gaps and make business cases to acquire resources that will aid the delivery of product goals
  • Create and deliver product-centered presentations to diverse audiences
  • Translate requirements for multiple audiences using Job Stories (JTBD) or other relevant formats
  • Ensure timely delivery of product goals
  • Communicate statuses and shifting priorities to all relevant stakeholders, negotiate for desired outcomes
  • Ensure market/business need to product fit
  • Prioritize competing work requests

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree MIS, Information Technology, HCI, Business, or equivalent
  • 3-7 Years experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or related field

  • Experience contributing to large digital efforts (1y+/multi-million dollar product development efforts in the web and Mobile space)

  • Strong project management skills

  • Experience working across disciplines (IT, Marketing, Sales, etc.) and analyzing stakeholder needs

  • Ability to apply great ideas from multiple diverse sources to find the best solution to a problem or set of problems

  • Self- starter with ability to deal with ambiguity and to adapt and embrace change

  • Skill with computers and mobile devices; able to use and adopt necessary software productivity products and new platforms as needed

  • Stakeholder communication and negotiation and Health insurance or healthcare experience

  • Agile/Scrum exposure as a Product Owner or Scrum Master

  • Experience presenting to all levels of an organization

  • Analytics/data-driven background

  • Experience with multi-channel digital asset delivery

  • Experience collaborating with diverse groups to create requirements in Job Story (JTBD) format


Salary Range: $31.82 to $54.34 / hour
