Description

Are you a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) interested in a career that provides plenty of opportunity for growth and development? Join our Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation team at The Green Home in Wellsboro, PA! We have Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem opportunities for all shifts!

 

The Green Home is located in Tioga County and is across the street from UPMC Susquehanna Soldiers & Sailors. We provide high quality care for our residents and exceptional rehabilitation and skilled nursing services for short and long term patients.  

 

BONUS! Anyone hired into a full-time role that has a Current Pennsylvania CNA certification, will receive a $1,500.00 sign on bonus, upon signing a one-year employment agreement with UPMC. Details on the bonus would be given at the time of an offer, if chosen.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient care skill as directed by the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse in a safe manner according to policy and procedure.
  • Respond directly to patient requests and appropriately communicate the patient needs.
  • Assist with food distribution and feeding residents.
  • Assist with bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, nail care, hair care, and dressing Assist in transferring residents.
  • Document in the medical record according to established procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Successful completion of nursing assistant training program (Required).
  • Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • May in the course of their job duties be in rooms where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed. In the course of duties may be asked to distribute medications to the nurse at the bedside. Access to medications is limited to the distribution of the medication to the nurse.
 

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Certified Nurse Assistant Certification (Required)
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support
  • Act 33 Child Clearance w Renewal
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance w Renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
