UPMC's legal department provides a fantastic venue for a law student to obtain relevant legal experience, particularly in various aspects of health law and corporate practice, as well as with other legal issues presented to the legal department of an extensive health care system. Student Workers are responsible for assisting attorneys with projects including research, writing, drafting agreements, organizing information, and participating in creation/delivery of presentations.

  • Current enrollment in first year of law school preferred, most fitting
  •      are candidates entering the summer between first and second year.

  • This will be a paid position.  
  • The candidate will have a working knowledge of the Microsoft system. 
  • Related experience to the program/study/research is preferred. 
  • Candidate should have an interest in field of study.  
  • The successful candidate must be able to work within a team environment
  •      under direct supervision. 

  • The candidate must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of
  •      staff.  

  • The candidate must be able to perform routine tasks under the guidance of
  •      senior staff.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    • Act 34 Criminal Clearance or Act 34 Criminal Clearance with Renewal
