Description

University of Pittsburgh Physicians is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator to support the Center for Reproduction and Transplantation at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital!

Working within the Division of Fertility Preservation at the Center for Fertility and Reproductive Endocrinology, the Program Coordinator will coordinate and manage the efficient operations of the projects/programs within the Center for Reproduction and Transplantation.

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to, working directly with patients to gather personal information and assign them to the correct area, explaining treatment/research aspects (the process, finances, etc.), making appointments and scheduling surgeries, organizing tissue processing, obtaining consent forms, and working directly with the Institutional Review Board with writing and submitting protocols for the clinical research. 

This position does consist of clinical, research, and administrative aspects. The ideal candidate will have previous research work experience, with previous clinical research coordination experience being a plus. Any previous experience working with the Institutional Review Board (IRB), is also a plus. Exceptional written, interpersonal, phone, and overall communication skills are vital to this role, as well.


Responsibilities:
  • Complete progress reports.
  • Develop and oversee cooperative relationships with other internal and external communities.
  • Initiate/create/oversee quality control initiatives and training for program.
  • Oversee administrative, clinical, and/or research functions for the program.
  • Provides senior level input towards program, facilities, fiscal, staff/HR, and policy planning.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a human services field.
  • Five years of relevant experience (clinical, research, administrative, etc.).
  • Previous research work experience and/or experience with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with clinical research and/or clinical research coordination is a plus.
  • Experience with informed consent processes preferred.
  • Strong scheduling/coordination skills highly preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, phone, and computer skills highly preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 34
