Research Assistant II

Description

UPMC is looking for a Research Assistant II! This position will be working with the Pittsburgh Girls Study. The goal of the study is to understand how the environment and different types of stressors during childhood and adolescence affect later maternal pregnancy and child health, development and well being. 

This is a Part-Time position with shifts ranging Monday - Friday between 9:00am - 5:00pm, occasional Saturday shifts may be required as well. This position will be responsible for serving as a TSST (trier social stress test) judge, assisting with medical record abstraction, data entry, completing related administrative tasks, etc. 

This is a grant funded position.

Purpose:

Perform research related functions in support of a grant funded research project.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform entry level research related functions in support of a research project(s).
  • Perform basic clerical and/or data entry functions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Ability to sort and file reports and records that have already been classified or that are easily classified in a simple serial classification system (i.e. alphabetical, chronological, or numerical).
  • Ability to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic calculations in order to maintain department files and routine records.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal 
  • Act 33 with renewal 
  • Act 34 with renewal 
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
