Description


Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and calibrate various equipment, computer systems, software and system control systems. Investigate operational sequences and evaluate efficiencies, effectiveness and opportunities for improvement associated with systems controls. Establish preventive maintenance of DDC and electronic system components and software packages. This is a hands on position that requires climbing, stooping, lifting and use of associated tools required for completion of assigned work tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a role model of service excellence for the institutions by providing quality services that are responsive to client needs, proactive in scope and accessible in nature. Using the Basics of Service Excellence as a guide, respond to the needs of individual patients, employees, department or other organizations with courtesy, respect and a positive outlook that reflects the team effort of the department:
  • Modify and correct the shortcomings in the controlling programming. DDC maintenance, calibration, system upgrade and expansion, and design and implement facilities monitoring.
  • Exhibits, both verbally and behaviorally, a commitment to the values of service excellence in carrying out on-going duties.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment systems in a safe and efficient process. Complete all work orders in a timely and accurate manner as well as all associated reports and data forms. Evaluate incoming data and problem calls, analyze the situation and formulate an appropriate response.
  • Maintains a positive outlook and interactions with co-workers, which contribute to the team effort of the department. BUILDING AUTOMATION SYSTEMS: Provide continual surveillance of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment at CHP, Rangos Research, and CHP North Campus
  • Adheres to the Basics of Service Excellence in all interactions with clients and the public.
  • Calibrate and install system components for repairs and upgrades to BDDC systems in campus buildings. Operate, maintain and repair pneumatic controls and interface system components.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Fire Alarm Systems Experience required (three years preferred on Fire Alarms)
  • Completion of recognized course in electronics theory and/or computer systems technology required. 
  • Strong electronics, computer hardware and software and operations knowledge is necessary.
  • Must have the ability to work with Construction Management, Design Engineering and contractors to approve, suggest and verify new installations conform to the standards and needs of the facility and clients.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
