Sr. Digital Product Manager, TeleHealth

Description

The Telehealth Strategy & Solutions team at UPMC Health Plan is working to leverage telehealth technologies & applications to make health care delivery more convenient, lower cost, and more member-centric.  

 

As the Senior Digital Product Manager, you will be part of our team of rock stars working to identify, develop & prioritize a portfolio of telehealth initiatives, as well as leading the implementation of those new strategies & solutions for the UPMC system.  The initiatives will range from new reimbursement arrangements, network engagement strategies, new clinical use cases for telehealth, and new product strategies.  You’ll work alongside colleagues in product development, digital health, technology, business transformation, and human-centered design, and have the opportunity to collaborate with business & clinical partners across the UPMC system and beyond.  


UPMC Health Plan is hiring a Senior Digital Product Manager to collaborate with creative, technical, and business partners to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of the digital properties (portals, apps, and third-party tools) that make our insurance products understandable and usable for our members while meeting revenue and customer satisfaction goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Help to ensure quality through UAT testing
  • Lead the development of new/modified processes and procedures to support product strategy
  • Take on project management and/or business analysis responsibilities when those roles are not present
  • Understand needs of the user, stakeholders, and partners and how they relate to product(s) managed
  • Apply KPIs, user research, customer input, business needs, and other sources to the prioritization of product features and an evolving product vision
  • Define product strategy and maintain roadmaps for digital products
  • Transform data to insight and product decisions
  • Distribute credit and block blame to/from team members
  • Identify resource gaps and make business cases to acquire resources that will aid the delivery of product goals
  • Assess key market factors, including competitive landscape, consumer insights and unmet customer needs as input to innovative products, services and programs to meet the unique needs of users and stakeholders
  • Approve product for launch
  • Advocate for the end-user and identify opportunities to improve products to benefit the user experience
  • Change agent stay current on digital trends and ensure that products remain relevant
  • Translate requirements for multiple audiences using Job Stories (JTBD) or other relevant formats Ensure timely delivery of product goals
  • Create and deliver product-centered presentations to diverse audiences

  • Manage personnel needs and allocations as part of the personnel scheduling committee
  • Communicate statuses and shifting priorities to all relevant stakeholders, negotiate for desired outcomes

  • Prioritize competing work requests
  • Create and deliver training on digital products as needed
  • Strategically assist in the design and delivery of a holistic and consistent user experience across products
  • Take on project management and/or business analysis responsibilities when those roles are not present

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Information Technology, HCI, Business, or equivalent; Master's degree/MBA preferred
  • Minimum six (6+) years experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or related field
  • Experience leading large digital efforts (1y+/multi-million dollar product development efforts in the web and mobile space)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience in product management specifically with web or mobile applications highly preferred
  • Experience presenting to all levels of the organization
  • Experience working across disciplines (IT, Marketing, Sales, etc.) and analyzing stakeholder needs
  • SDLC
  • Ability to apply great ideas from multiple diverse sources to find the best solution to a problem or set of problems
  • Self- starter with ability to deal with ambiguity and to adapt and embrace change
  • Skill with computers and mobile devices; able to use and adopt necessary software productivity products and new platforms as needed
  • Agile/Scrum exposure as a Product Owner or Scrum Master preferred
  • Health insurance or healthcare experience preferred
  • Past supervisory experience of digital or design professionals preferred
  • Analytics/data-driven background preferred
  • Experience with multi-channel digital asset delivery preferred
  • Experience collaborating with diverse groups to create requirements in Job Story (JTBD) format preferred
