Provides vascular services and medical management care specific to the vascular population according to established standards of practice, including any specific protocols adopted by PinnacleHealth to guide vascular surgical and medical care. Obligated to abide by the rules and regulations of the State Board of Medical or Osteopathic licensure and the bylaws of the PinnacleHealth Hospital Medical Staff.Provides specialty health care to inpatients and outpatients associated with the Vascular Surgery program performing vein ablation/intervention, HD access, CLI/limb salvage, EVAR/TEVAR and carotid stenting primary and as consult services at all Pinnacle inpatient sites and outpatient physician offices.

  • Must demonstrate by his/her own behavior a strong sense of commitment to patient care.
  • Consistent contact with fellow employees and patients in person, on the telephone, and in writing. Daily contact with faculty, residents, and other medical professionals, and other hospital personnel.
  • Promotes and maintains positive working relationships within the department and with other areas throughout PinnacleHealth, the community and outside agencies.
  • Demonstrates effective problem-solving, an ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and a willingness to adapt to changing environment.
  • Professionalism: Maintains an appropriate professional knowledge base through participation in CME programs, review of literature, and re-credentialing processes. Maintains confidentiality. Participates in professional organizations. Promotes teamwork and interoffice harmony. Ensures compliance with safety, procedural and accrediting standards by federal, state, JCAHO, CMS and other regulatory agencies. Actively participates in external/internal audits are required by these agencies to ensure compliance with established guidelines. Maintains confidentiality of clinical, financial, and personal information in keeping with policies of PinnacleHealth. Promotes goals of PinnacleHealth and is a positive representative of the Pinnacle Health System
  • Develops strong, supportive, and collaborative relationships with referring physicians.
  • Actively interacts with the PHCVI president, chairman, administration and management of Cardiovascular Services.
  • Attends administrative and clinical meetings as assigned.
  • Participates in vascular reading rotation responsibilities.
  • Provides on-call coverage for Vascular Surgery where appropriately credentialed, with night and weekend call on a rotating basis.
  • Participates in conferences and other forums.
  • Adheres to quality standards as set forth by relevant professional associations.
  • Follows all PinnacleHealth rules and regulations applicable to employees and members of the Medical Staff.
  • Works with the Surgical Services or designee and Members of Administration to optimize resource utilization in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
  • Uses and advocates for the use of evidence-based medical practices and care protocols.
  • At all times acts with respect toward all colleagues, staff and employees of The Pinnacle Health System.
  • If another physician is, or physicians are, recruited into the practice, actively assists in marketing the Practice to increase patient volume.
  • Actively promotes and attempts to increase the volume of vascular surgical cases at PHS.
  • Assists in all aspects of Pinnacle Health System?s quality assurance and process improvement projects.
  • Attends administrative and clinical committees as assigned.
  • Works cooperatively with all of the medical staff of PHS, including, but not limited to, the staff of the Department of Surgery, Cardiovascular Physician Extenders, the staff of the Department of Anesthesia, and the employees of PHS.
  • Cooperates with any physician recruited to the Practice by PHCVI to ensure that vascular services, both elective and emergent, are available continuously at Pinnacle Health System.
  • Teaches and supervises residents and medical students assigned to the cardiovascular surgical service.
  • Provides vascular care to patients within Pinnacle Health System and other determined contracted facilities.


Current licensure under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a member of the Pinnacle Health Medical Staff.Board certification or board eligibility in Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Surgery. Board eligible physician must become board certified within three years from date of hire. Board certification must be maintained.DEA certification.One or more years of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required.
