Description

UPMC Pinnacle is currently hiring for Director of Telemedicine in the Harrisburg, PA location. This position will plan, organize, develop, and coordinate all aspects of the strategic development and implementation of the UPMC Pinnacle telemedicine program. The position will be responsible for integration, implementation and prioritization of projects that promote the visibility, utilization and value of telemedicine to the organization. The director will also oversee personnel responsible for analysis and design. Works collaboratively with IS, Physicians, Quality, Medical Group, Hospitals and Revenue Cycle Group to develop, deploy, and manage the telemedicine program.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of hospital/clinic process and provider-related workflows.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with clinical information system tools to enhance successful utilization by medical staff across the breadth of subspecialties.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with ability to work well with diverse population.
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and work with Physicians and Advanced Care Providers.
  • Advance knowledge pc applications, Microsoft® applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability and desire to learn to resolve specialized and advanced technology problems.
  • Ability to establish a set of tasks and activities associated with an intended outcome and timeline.
  • Ability to take action consistent with available facts, constraints, and anticipated consequences.
  • Ability to use appropriate interpersonal skills to give information to and receive information from coworkers and clients in a tactfully and professional manner.
  • Ability to use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions and/or reaching conclusions.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to operational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to identify risks and issues.
  • Ability to develop solutions for new and unfamiliar challenges.
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and interpret results.
  • Knowledge of Epic Software as well as other information systems, clinical software, and computer applications used in a health care setting.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years experience. 
  • Master's degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare technology and clinical projects/initiatives preferred. 
  • Proven management/leadership, problem solving, organizational and communication skills (written and oral) are required. 
  • Proven Contract Management experience in a sales environment preferred. 
  • The person must have the ability to perform planning for large initiatives/projects, managing tasks required within a budget and targeted deadlines. 
  • Experience with telemedicine, digital medicine and technology platforms is desirable.
