Description
Purpose:
The Family Support Assistant (FSA) will provide support services related to family-centered programs. These services include assistance with stabilization, family-advocacy, development of natural supports, and the development and maintenance of community living skills. The FSA will greet the public, maintain computer data base systems, report generation, appointment management, general office clerical support and providing backup to answering multiple phone lines giving information, routing calls and taking accurate and detailed messages.
This position will work Monday - Friday with some weekends if there are community events. The hours will be 8:00 - 4:00 but can vary depending on agency and community events.
Responsibilities:
- Understands and supports business goals.
- Takes accurate messages.
- Work with collaterals and other professionals involved with client/family.
- Answers and triages calls.
- Identify and collaborate with providers of Medication Assisted Treatment to support access to MAT as needed for clients.
- Maintains team calendar(s).
- Sorts and distributes mail and sets up meetings.
- Other duties as required.
- Meet regularly with Supervisor for guidance and supervision.
- Enter and retrieves data using Word, Excel or other databases.
- Maintains inventory
- Coordinate closely with other agency staff.
- Assist families to identify and access community treatment, support, and other resources.
- Identify community resources to support families in accessing recovery support, relapse prevention, and parenting support services.
- Provides clerical assistance to team members.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Automotive Insurance
- Driver's License
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance
