Independently execute job functions for research protocol(s). Collect and gather research data for research project.
Responsibilities:
- Independently execute job functions for research protocol(s) including recruitment, scheduling appointments, obtaining written consent forms, collecting data by conducting phone or face to face interviews for research project(s).
- Collaborate with senior research personnel regarding recruitment, data collection, outcomes of interviews, reports according to the needs of the study.
- Prepares CORID applications, modifications, and renewals as well as anatomic specimen requests for review and approval of the PI.
- Assures that all activities conducted in the UPMC Passavant laboratory are compliant with the Lab Policies and Procedures of Anatomic Specimens policies and procedures developed by the Office for Oversight of Anatomic Specimens

Maintain and monitor cadaveric inventory for all PI/Course Directors of the lab

Monitor and verify ongoing compliance of all clinical research cadaveric activity and training participants in the lab and Industry representatives.
Assure that Industry representatives meet all UPMC and University of Pittsburgh requirements
Organize cadaveric clinical training lab schedule for the year with dates for all Course Directors of the lab and be present for all clinical trainings. This includes all industry supported clinical trainings with approved CORID(s) and signed Industry Agreement(s) in place.
Maintain and update arthroscopic, dissection surgical instrumentation and extremity holders
Assist in technical support as needed
Maintain and update Laboratory Manual
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in psychology, neuroscience, sociology or related research field.
- Minimum of one year of work experience in a research project and/or related clinical setting is required.
- Familiarity with computers and common software packages required.
- Working knowledge of research methodology strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or engineering field strongly preferred
