Independently execute job functions for research protocol(s). Collect and gather research data for research project.
Responsibilities:
- Independently execute job functions for research protocol(s) including recruitment, scheduling appointments, obtaining written consent forms, collecting data by conducting phone or face to face interviews for research project(s).
- Collaborate with senior research personnel regarding recruitment, data collection, outcomes of interviews, reports according to the needs of the study.
- Once trained, administer blind clinical assessments to participants in both a schizophrenia and autism study
- Complete screening assessments including the SCID, WASI and WRAT
- Administer and score questionnaires with participants's parents
- Perform reliability scoring of tests administered and scored by other examiners
- Data entry of participant parent questionnaires
- Data entry of neurophysiological and blind clinical data
- Travel to clinical sites for recruitment of participants
- Filing data
- Ordering test supplies and bus tickets
- Data cleaning as well as reviewing and resolving discrepancies
- Making test packets
- Create participant folders, maintaining research records, and tracking participants throughout the study
- Distributing participant folders, maintaining research records, and tracking participants throughout the study
- Distributing participant payments under the formal payment system
- Obtaining informed consent from potential research participants according to ethical principles as direct by the PI
- Duplicating assessment forms
- Attend regular supervision including weekly project meetings
- Ability to work independently with little supervision once trained
- Perform other duties as related to the research project as requested by the Principle Investigators, coordinator and/or supervisors
- Must be able to juggle and prioritize tasks and keep open communication with the Principal Investigators and supervisors to ensure timely completion of all duties
- Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in psychology, neuroscience, sociology or related research field.
- Minimum of one year of work experience in a research project and/or related clinical setting is required.
- Familiarity with computers and common software packages required.
- Working knowledge of research methodology strongly preferred.
