Description

UPMC Community Provider Services is hiring an Operations Support Assistant! 

Purpose:

Responsible for comprehensive analysis of physician and facilities level data (demographics/ID Mgmt, etc), and information for various UPMC applications, including, but not limited to the Enterprise Master Person index, Horizon Homecare, Referral+ etc. 

The position will take a role in review, analysis and remediation of the above data as well as the documentation and communication of identified variances. To successfully perform this role the candidate must understand the various sources and causes of data challenges as well as the impact to downstream/clinical systems.This position will use their knowledge and understanding of registration, Master File maintenance and other information generated by numerous sources to review, analyze and remediate challenges.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information received/reviewed
  • This position will create and maintain appropriate facility/physician documentation related to the procedures they are responsible for
  • This position will routinely participate in, and successfully completes, on-going training activities associated with the related applications
  • This resource will need to possess analytical and problem solving skills
  • Responsible for analysis, verification, and correction of physician and facility data integrity challenges, leveraging multiple different systems to conduct due diligence
  • This position will work and take action on numerous daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly physician reconciliations/verification reports/queries in multiple databases
  • This resource will be expected to utilize and be proficient at using various tools including web sites, MS access databases, spreadsheets, telephone and internally developed applications to research and address the various data exceptions they will be charged to resolve
  • This resource will be expected to communicate directly and professionally with internal professional clinical staff as well as external providers and physician offices to obtain the necessary information

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in business, computer science, HIM or 5 years' experience in a multi-level business setting
  • Ability to perform advanced functions in word processing, electronic mail/calendar, spreadsheet, presentation and database software Ability to use applicable MS Suite products Ability to analyze data and advance reasoning skills
  • Good verbal and written communications are required
