Do you have experience in project-based roles? Are you looking to join a growing and dynamic team? If so, a Project Analyst role with UPMC Health Plan's Quality Measurement and Analysis department may be the perfect fit for you.


Under the general direction of the collaborating Sr. Project Manager for each assigned project, the Project Analyst will provide support and accountability for project management efforts across the organization. This position will be responsible for monitoring, documenting and reporting progress and performance for defined project objectives and measures as well as for assisting in the development and maintenance of detailed project plans.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with great organizational and leadership skills and a desire for a career path in project management.


  • Advise supervising Sr. Project Manager and team members of pending due dates.
  • Assist in the development of business cases, charters, work plans, communications, testing and project implementations.
  • Communicate with members of UPMC management and staff regarding assigned projects.
  • Generate necessary project documentation, including meeting minutes, project deliverables, process flow diagrams,etc.
  • Create process improvement and efficiencies for existing workflows and project management artifacts.
  • Support user inquires for project implementations.
  • Handle project administrative duties including scheduling requirements, SharePoint requirements, etc.
  • Identify and help resolve potential issues and/or barriers which are critical to the success of a project.
  • Maintain project documents within approved archival systems.



  • B.A. degree and 2 years experience (preferred).
  • Experience in health care insurance or health care industry preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills required, including MS Office Suite.
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written) are required.
  • Very well organized and deadline conscious.
  • Project Management knowledge and future potential to manage multiple projects required.
