Description
Maintains a safe, secure environment for Sherwood Oaks residents, staff and visitors to the property. The patrol person also provides transportation for residents according to facility policies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with 24-hour coverage of the gatehouse each day, periodically monitors the lake for potential hazards
- Is alert for irregularities, implements emergency procedures as necessary
- Complete rounds according to the schedule for each shift, securing exits, checking lighting, inspecting exteriors around all buildings and inside laundry rooms and surveying the interior of the center
- Respond to emergencies as needed
- Attend all mandatory in-service education programs
- Provide access to facilities by authorized residents and personnel
- Provide transportation to residents for recreation and medical needs
- Participate in meetings as directed by the Director of Security
Qualifications
High school diploma requiredLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Act 235F or Act 2350 (within the first 180 days of employment), BLS or CPR, CDL (within one year of employment) and PFS.CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of employment
