Description

Purpose:
Performs administrative, clerical, reimbursement and intake support functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with generation of Financial Responsibility letters.
  • Assists with re-verification of active patients insurance for specific payers.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
  • Cooperates with other staff members when planning and organizing job activities.
  • Takes initiative to present ideas/suggestions to management.
  • Works with specific payers to secure required authorizations.
  • Carries out all responsibilities in accordance with Chartwell's Core Values.
  • Performs follow-up for authorizations/referrals not received based on branch policy and procedure.
  • Enters referrals/authorizations into computer.
  • Willingly performs other duties as needed.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work effectively and maintain expected productivity.
  • Gives high priority to duties assigned; anticipates customer needs.
  • Utilizes appropriate communication lines in relaying problems, concerns, questions and ideas

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skill. Experience with data entry, filing systems and reconciliation procedures helpful.

  • Act 34
