Res Project Coordinator WPIC

Description

The Theiss Early Childhood Trauma Treatment Center (ECTTC) is funded by a 5-year clinical SAMHSA grant through the National Child Traumatic Stress Initiative.  The ECTTC is expanding evidence-based trauma treatments for trauma-impacted young children and their families served by Matilda Theiss Early Childhood Behavioral Health programming, as well as families served by agencies throughout Western Pennsylvania (within and outside of Allegheny County).  


This position will be responsible for processing complex clinical intake referrals to the program (contacting families to assess the need of the child/caregivers; determining appropriateness of referral; scheduling/coordinating intake evaluation for entry into grant-related programming). This position will be coordinating and monitoring data collection across sites; completing data entry and data management tasks; working with the project evaluator and advisory committee; and assisting the Research Program Administrator with report generation for program monitoring and evaluation purposes.  


The ideal candidate will have experience in both research and clinical settings.  Clinical experience within the early childhood realm of practice is preferred! 


This position is grant funded.

Purpose:
To provide coordination and support for special projects and daily activities for the department.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of project spending and funds available.
  • Coordinate the daily activities and special projects for department.
  • Coordinate scheduling of assessments.
  • Assist with quality assurance over all aspects of data collection and management, including data flow, data entry and verification, maintenance of all project databases, data security and confidentiality.
  • Provides regular supervision for junior staff.
  • Responsible for preparing and modifying IRB protocols, Regulatory Binders, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the research, clinical, and administrative staff related to this research.
  • Coordination of recruitment ie. Advertisements, tracking recruitment, and developing strategies to increase response in targeted populations.
  • Responsible for the submission of regular reports detailing the progress of the research, including NIH progress reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, business administration or related area of study and three years of relevant research and/or clinical experience is required.

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting  
  • Act 33 
  • Act 34 
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance 
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
