Description

Western Psychiatric Hospital is looking for a Research Project Coordinator! This is a Regular, Full-Time position with hours ranging Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm. This position is within a multidisciplinary team that conducts clinical research on youth mood disorders. They have a collaborative environment in which they aim to contribute meaningfully to enhance outcomes for youth and families through clinical science and education. 

This position will be responsible for supporting the Principal Investigator and team in administrative duties related to ongoing and pending clinical research programming. 

Purpose:

To provide coordination and support for special projects and daily activities for the department.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of project spending and funds available.
  • Coordinate the daily activities and special projects for department.
  • Coordinate scheduling of assessments.
  • Assist with quality assurance over all aspects of data collection and management, including data flow, data entry and verification, maintenance of all project databases, data security and confidentiality.
  • Provides regular supervision for junior staff.
  • Responsible for preparing and modifying IRB protocols, Regulatory Binders, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the research, clinical, and administrative staff related to this research.
  • Coordination of recruitment ie. Advertisements, tracking recruitment, and developing strategies to increase response in targeted populations.
  • Responsible for the submission of regular reports detailing the progress of the research, including NIH progress reports.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, business administration or related area of study and three years of relevant research and/or clinical experience is required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
