Responsibilities:
• LEADERSHIP: Supports organizational and leadership decisions and goals
• Acts as a professional role model and communicates effectively with all other members of the health care team, patients, families, visitors, community agencies and other facilities.
• Manages multiple demands, is organized and follows through on commitments and does not leave loose ends.
• PRACTICE: Performs direct and non-direct safe nursing patient care activities as assigned, commensurate with competencies and scope of required license.

• Values and validates the patient perception regarding their care and responds appropriately.
• EDUCATION: Maintains optimal nursing practice through planned and continuous career development by identifying own learning needs and sets goals.
• Seeks out resources to address patient/family education needs and reinforces as needed.
• COMMUNICATION: Identifies and communicates pertinent information and consistently ensures an effective hand off.
• Establishes positive interpersonal relationships with all members of the health care team, patients, families and visitors. Is approachable, consistently respectful and team oriented

Qualifications

• Completion of approved Practical Nursing program or equivalent is preferred
• New graduate or current experience as LPN with Meds/IVs in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer knowledge and skills

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Assure equipment malfunctions are reported to the appropriate department. Establish appropriate and effective communication strategies. Establish professional and respectful interpersonal relationships. Participate in health care conferences. Contribute to the universal unit activities including, but not limited to, responding to call lights and telephones, passing meal trays and transporting patients.
