Description

Purpose:
Provides meaningful data regarding consistencies in standards of care and assists hospital teams with data relating to quality improvement activities. Participates in quality oversight initiatives, and monitors patient safety initiatives to improve and enhance care delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Works independently or within teams based on project needs.Builds and mends relationships among colleagues within the framework of a healthy workplace while being sensitive to cultural and other individual needs. Role models keen cultural awareness including preventing and addressing horizontal violence and impairment.Maintains a conscious balance between work and personal life through prioritization and delegation of responsibilities.
  • Reviews and extracts patient information from the medical recordParticipates in quality projectsAggregates/reports data based on project requirementsInvestigates and summarizes key issues based on quality case project
  • Understands and maintains knowledge of regulatory and/or standards by actively reviewing and updating process to reflect the requirements.Promotes change and innovation that enhances the quality of patient care and the departmental functions and efficiencies. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required, either at time of hire/transfer, or must be enrolled in a program within one year of hire/transfer date and completed within three years of enrollment.Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families.Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment.Exemplary critical thinking, analytical and problem solving abilities required as related to various aspects of patient care.Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others. Mobility and visual manual dexterity. Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting.
