Description
Purpose:Troubleshoot HVAC and kitchen equipment problems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all work following infection control procedures.
- Troubleshoot HVAC problems and reports higher level problems to supervisor.
- Perform basic kitchen equipment repairs.
- Requirement to be on-call on designated weekends and will be required to carry a cell phone and emergency pager when scheduled to respond to any building maintenance minor emergencies that may arise.
- Install basic components and wiring in HVAC systems.
- Record personal work orders and submit hours to supervisor in a daily basis.
- Performs repairs on PTAC and RTU units, exhaust fans, washers, dryers, etc.
- Performs preventive maintenance on various HVAC systems as directed by Director of Maintenance or supervisor.
- Traveling position responsible for the HVAC troubleshooting and repairs for Senior Living and BMS facilities in Western PA.
- Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Trade school background preferred.
- Three (3) years experience working as a HVACR technician required.
- May in the course of their duties be in rooms where medications are stored.
- No contact with medications is allowed.
