This position will work a variety of shifts during the week with weekend coverage once every 4 weeks. On-call is also once every 4 weeks. This position will work in the crisis residential clinic.

The successful candidate will be placed according to years and months of experience for employment purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Manages and provides care for assigned caseload in consultation with healthcare team providers following approved clinical protocols. Performs various types of examinations under the supervision of a physician.Possesses the ability to obtain and interpret information considering age specific needs.Provides formal and informal education to staff and identifies and implements ongoing staff development in area of specialty.Performs clinical evaluations; assesses and diagnoses injury or illness as appropriate; plans, prescribes and implements follow up care utilizing established protocol.
- Initiates quality assurance activities, policy/procedures and research activities. Performs laboratory and medical surveillance screening function to include, but not limited to, drawing of specimens and hearing and pulmonary function tests.Serves as a consultant to staff, physicians and patients. Conducts patient education and provides patients with discharge instructions.Reviews patient labs and test results and informs of results in a timely manner. Assists in the triage of patient calls and clinical needs.Demonstrates commitment to service excellence by understanding the needs of patients, their families, physicians and co-workers and doing what is required the first time, every time by being responsible, sensitive, accurate, timely, coordinated and thorough.
Qualifications
Qualifications:- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and/or interact appropriately to the patients served as specified below
- Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
- Possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs
- Provide the care needs as described in the department policy and procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families
- Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment
- Handle multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities required as related to various aspects of patient care
- Good clinical judgment
- Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and lead others in application of acceptable standards of practice
- Mobility and visual manual dexterity
- Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients
Licensure, Education, Certifications, and Clearances
CRNP:
- The successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program is required
- BSN, MSN is preferred
- Professional nursing experience and/or nurse practitioner experience is preferred
- Current state RN license and CRNP certification are required
- National certification, eligible for licensure by Pennsylvania board of nursing, eligible for certification as a CRNP by Pennsylvania state board of nursing
- Current CPR certification is required
- Act 34 Clearance required
