UPMC is hiring a full-time Program Coordinator for the Women's Biobehavioral Health Laboratory located in Oakland, PA. The Women's Biobehavioral Health Laboratory is devoted to understanding and enhancing women's health at midlife and beyond. (see

This position will be responsible for coordinating the administrative activities of the Women's Biobehavioral Health Laboratory. Duties will include coordinating grant proposals, progress reports, and manuscripts; managing expenditures, budgets, and budgetary projections; collaborating on the preparation, execution, and management of contracts with outside collaborators, laboratories, and vendors; assisting with staff oversight and management; coordinating travel and expenses; select research-related activities for funded research studies; and working closely with the Principal Investigator and the laboratory team to support the success of the Women's Biobehavioral Health program. 

This position is grant funded.

To coordinate and manage the efficient operations of the projects/programs within the department.

  • Complete progress reports.
  • Develop and oversee cooperative relationships with other internal and external communities.
  • Initiate/create/oversee quality control initiatives and training for program.
  • Oversee administrative, clinical, and/or research functions for the program.
  • Provides senior level input towards program, facilities, fiscal, staff/HR, and policy planning.
  • Coordinate grant submissions to funding agencies


  • Masters Degree in a human services field.
  • Five years of relevant experience. (clinical, research, administrative)
