The position is primarily responsible to effectively implement program and participants transportation and contract delivery needs in accordance with Mon Yough Community Services, Inc. policies and procedures, compliance plan, county and state regulations.


The ideal candidate for this role will have a valid drivers license in addition to experience working with persons with disabilities. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities will include consumer transportation and the completion of scheduled deliveries and pick ups in the McKeesport area as well as downtown Pittsburgh and the Northside. Agency vehicles will be provided. The hire for this role will also assist consumers as needed. The schedule for this position is M-F 8a-4p.  


  • Deliver bulk mail contracts to designated postal facility. Handle postage checks and paperwork at post office when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Supervisor/Program Specialist to schedule program participants as van assistants, keeping accurate data on consumer work hours.
  • Responsible for providing transportation services to individuals served at MYCS as per state, county, and agency guidelines.
  • Assist team by completing Floor Instructor functions as needed during contract downtime and/or between contract delivery times
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with passengers and their families. Check daily with front office regarding consumers reporting off and on. Report all schedule changes to supervisor.
  • Communicate and document all pertinent consumer information with Program Managers and/or Vocational Rehabilitation Supervisor following policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the recording daily of trips, mileage, gas/oil, and recording complete and accurate records to submit to the front office.
  • Maintain status of acceptable driver as per policy.
  • Responsible for coordinating daily contract pickups and deliveries and communicating with Supervisor and community contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Complete all required State, County, and Agency compliance trainings annually.



  • High School diploma and 1 year of experience supporting persons with disabilities. 
  • Must have mobility and flexibility as to ensure safety and well-being of individual serviced (i.e. lifting, climbing stairs, etc.)
  • Ability to do heavy work: exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
    Act 73 if they have lived outside of PA in the past 2 years

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
  • Driver's License
  • Act 34
