Clinical Research Coordinator/Psychological and Neuro Psychological -UPMC Mercy

UPMC Mercy is hiring a Full-Time Clinical Research Coordinator/Psychological and Neuro Psychological
to support the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation division at our Pittsburgh, PA location.

Purpose:

Under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, provides psychological testing and assessment of patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide input concerning appropriate tests and evaluation tools utilized by the division.
  • Conduct focused diagnostic interviews to elucidate the nature of the presenting problem as well as relevant developmental, psychological, behavioral and social contributions to the problem, under supervision as needed and per PA State Board of Psychology.
  • Collect insurance authorization for Neuropsych testing and treatment.
  • Attend annual Hospital and departmental fire/safety and infection control training and maintains current knowledge of safety procedures within the Hospital and department.
  • Administer, score, and under physicians supervision, interpret appropriate standardized Psychological and Neuro-psychological and behavior rating scales as defined by department protocol and the needs of the case: integrates and synthesizes information quickly and efficiently in order to provide feedback and recommendations to the family, generally at the time of the initial evaluation.
  • Cooperate in research projects as compatible with clinical schedule and patient needs, with supervision as needed.
  • Practice in a way that recognizes and respects diverse populations.
  • Screen for the presence of safety and priority issues and takes appropriate action when identified.
  • Improve and/or support others in improving the health and well being of all patients through excellence in patient care, teaching and research.
  • Provide diagnostic developmental and behavioral observation of patients with a variety of developmental, behavioral and mental health concerns with supervision, as needed and per PA State Board of Psychology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology.
  • 3 years experience.
