Purpose:
All student workers from a formal annual program, working in a non-clinical environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Overall education on the facets of long term care administration with exposure to each department
  • Emergency preparedness – COVID -19  survey readiness, PPE tracking, infection control focused DOH regulations, resident isolation practices
  • Call bell response time
  • Quality Assurance Performance Improvement – specifically assigned projects/audits as needed
  • Social services  - assist with admissions contract and tours
  • Dietary – rounding with registered dietitian to better understand her role
  • Nursing  - unit manager’s role in the delivery of services ( resident care, management and unit oversight)
  • Business office – duties on a daily and monthly basis to ensure cash flow and AR collections, and MA application process
  • Case management/RNAC – insurance criteria for skilled services, payment strategies under PDPM
  • Therapy – service delivery strategies for a skilled rehabilitation client and a traditional long term care resident.
  • Human Resources -  values based discipline process

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Strongly Preferred
