UPMC Corporate Finance is seeking a full-time Senior Financial Analyst to support our Cancer Center, UPCI, and International Finance division (pod).

Our Finance department provides financial direction in support of the UPMC Cancer Center, UPCI, and International's organizational goals, always placing our patients first. The work environment and responsibilities allow for growth and development within the Finance department as well as opportunities and advancement within every functional area, including, but not limited to, operations management, systems support, data analytics, business development, contract management, accounting, auditing, and revenue cycle. This position will assist in the preparation of the annual budget and provide financial analysis and special project support. In addition, this position functions in a supporting role to Cancer Center, UPCI, and International Senior Executive Staff in relation to financial matters.

  • Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
  • Perform complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported.
  • Act as a mentor for Financial Analysts or administrative staff.
  • Analyze complex financial data and extract and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.
  • Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
  • Plan and conduct complex studies to determine cost of business activities. Recommend budget adjustments, and other cost improvement measures.


  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related business field required. 
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience required.  
  • CPA/MBA preferred.
  • Microsoft office with emphasis on spreadsheet application required and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPA/MBA preferred.
