Purpose:
The Program Coordinator (PC) will develop and implement a Perinatal Wellness Program in collaboration with The UPMC Pinnacle Women’s Behavioral Health Specialists and the Women and Children’s Service Line. This will include establishing a curriculum of events to provide pregnant and postpartum women with information and support to improve expectations and prevent distress during their journeys through the peripartum experience


Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee the design and implementation of a Perinatal Wellness Program.
  • Coordinate and develop educational resources and a variety of perinatal wellness classes/events.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual educational classes and support groups.
  • Manage a monthly calendar of events for group members to participate in.
  • Perform screening with validated depression and anxiety screening tools at appropriate times throughout the peripartum experience.
  • Develop a data collection system to gather member information such as demographics, logistical data, clinical risk factors, clinical diagnoses, and clinical outcomes.
  • Coordinate training for various PMAD training opportunities for staff at other UPMC Pinnacle locations.
  • Coordinate and develop social media campaigns during Maternal Mental Health Week with the Digital Marketing Team.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Associates degree or five years of relevant experience. (clinical, research, administrative).
  • Five plus years’ experience facilitating a perinatal mood and anxiety support group in a hospital-based setting preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and the ability to identify the range of conditions some women experience associated with physiological transitions throughout their reproductive lifecycle, including but not limited to the baby blues, PMAD, postpartum depression, and postpartum anxiety preferred.
  • Knowledge of Community and National resources to assist women with PMAD preferred.
