The new West Mifflin Surgery Center is hiring a Full-Time Surgery Scheduler to support the Operating Room.

The new West Mifflin Surgery Center is currently seeking an organized and detail-minded individual to serve as a Surgery Scheduler in support of the Operating Room Department.  This position will be scheduled Monday through Friday daylight hours.

 

Purpose:


Schedules all surgical procedures for the surgical services department.


Responsibilities:

  • Make corrections from previous day in Orsos.
  • Print schedule and distribute to appropriate departments.
  • Maintain daily communication with OR Unit Director.
  • Choose and print appropriate preference cards for daily procedures.
  • Communicate changes in schedule with appropriate department.
  • Ensure accurate organization of surgical schedule.
  • Communicate with physician offices related to scheduling process.
  • Maintain block scheduling as appropriate.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree in Secretarial Science or Business or equivalent experience preferred.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
    • Act 34
