Purpose:
The Child Advocacy Center at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is recruiting a full-time, board-certified General Pediatrician or Family Practitioner. The Child Advocacy Center at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh serves a 23-county region of Western Pennsylvania, as well as several counties in Eastern Ohio and West Virginia. The in-patient Child Protection Team evaluates more than 500 patients annually, the out-patient clinic cares for approximately 1,500 children annually and the Child Advocacy Center interviews over 800 children annually for concerns of abuse or neglect.

Responsibilities:
- Physician will spend 40 percent of time working in the Allegheny County Department of Human Services providing pediatric expertise and acting as a liaison between Child Protective Services and primary care practices in Allegheny County
- Physician will spend 35 percent of time in clinical child abuse pediatrics, including both in-patient and out-patient settings
- Physician will spend 25 percent of time on grants related to education of child protective services workers in Pennsylvania, safe sleep, and the UPMC Child Abuse Initiative, a quality improvement initiative in 19 general EDs throughout UPMC
- Physician will work as part of a team with providers and other members of the center
- Non-Tenure track for Assistant or Associate Professor-level Faculty
- Regular – Full Time status

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Pediatrician or Family Practitioner
- Must be qualified for a medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
