Responsibilities:
Assess medical records accurately and completely
- Assess medical records accurately and completely
- Demonstrates UPMC Memorial's commitment to service excellence by understanding the needs of patients, their families, physicians and co-workers and doing what is required the first time, every time by being responsible, sensitive, accurate, timely, coordinated and thorough.
- Educate patients on exercise, heart disease, risk factors, etc.
- Keep current with equipment cleaning and maintenance.
- Maintain up to date patient records needed for stress testing and Holter monitoring.
- Maintain up-to-date patient charts.
- Monitor patients' heart rates and blood pressures as needed.
- Perform cardiac testing that include EKG's, rhythm strips, and all varieties of stress testing.
- Perform intake interviews and encounters for stress testing.
- Prepares EKG's for transmission to MUSE system and performs charting/billing in Epic.
- Will be able to communicate closely with monitor services and vendors to maintain functional holter and event monitors to service patient population.
- Will primarily be responsible for managing and coordinating Holter and Event Monitors according to protocol.
- Will work with patient scheduling to appropriately assign patient with the correct monitor as ordered in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Required Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science / Physiology or related field.
- Preferred Education/Knowledge Requirements: Master in Exercise Science/Physiology or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills (MS Office or equivalent.)
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ACSM certification(s) preferred.CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
Clearances must be dated within 90 days
