Description

University of Pittsburgh Physicians seeks a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to specialize in the diagnosis, medical management, and surgical treatment of patients with diseases of the heart and lungs; perform procurement for lung and heart transplant; provide support for Lung Transplant/ECMO service line; perform Thoracic surgery; perform inpatient duties including rounds, consults and surgeries; participate in on call rotation for CT Transplant service and Thoracic service.

 

Job Responsibilities

- Specialize in the diagnosis, medical management, and surgical treatment of patients with diseases of the heart and lungs;

- Perform procurement for lung and heart transplant;

- Provide support for Lung Transplant/ECMO service line;

- Perform Thoracic surgery;

- Perform inpatient duties including rounds, consults and surgeries; participate in on call rotation for CT Transplant service and Thoracic service.


Qualifications

 

- Must have a Medical degree or equivalent

- Completion of seven years of post-graduate training, including General and Thoracic Surgery

- Must have a valid PA medical license or eligibility for licensure
