We have full time and casual (per diem) opportunities available!
- Perform patient care skill as directed by the Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse in a safe manner according to policy and procedure.
- Respond directly to patient requests and appropriately communicate the patient needs.
- Assist with food distribution and feeding residents.
- Assist with bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, nail care, hair care, and dressing Assist in transferring residents.
- Document in the medical record according to established procedures.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Successful completion of nursing assistant training program (Required).
- Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- May in the course of their job duties be in rooms where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed. In the course of duties may be asked to distribute medications to the nurse at the bedside. Access to medications is limited to the distribution of the medication to the nurse.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Certified Nurse Assistant Certification (Required)
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
- Basic Life Support
- Act 33 Child Clearance w Renewal
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance w Renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance
