Description
Purpose:
This position will directly support Ambulatory Telemedicine.
The Telemedicine Clinical Coordinator functions as a liaison between PinnacleHealth System and participating providers. Proactively develops and implements clinical activities for the system, managed contracts and the Telehealth program. Ensures that high quality clinical services are delivered via telemedicine.
Responsibilities:
- Must maintain a professional attitude and demeanor and communicate effectively and easily with all staff. Must be able to demonstrate optimism, enthusiasm, and willingness to work constructively with other health care team members, which reflects concern for the well-being of patients and employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Works with other telemedicine programs to evaluate effective methods of clinical consultation and evaluation
- Works closely with the PinnacleHealth staff to ensure a timely and accurate reporting system.
- Assists in the development of outcome measurement and other tools necessary for the success of regional outreach.
- Develops and implements new areas of clinical utilization for Telehealth activities.
- Works closely with Regional Outreach and Telemedicine staff to provide Telemedicine exposure to patients, communities and regional hospital/clinic staff.
- Collaborates with medical staff and patients to facilitate safe and effective clinical consultations.
- Familiar with Telehealth equipment, specialized clinical equipment and accessories and is able to train regional/clinic hospital staff in their proper operation in order to facilitate successful clinical consultations.
- Provides analysis of existing programs and services. Makes recommendations to management for alternative methods to enhance cost efficiencies, productivity, improved process performance and capital utilization in regional facilities.
- Assists in the coordination of clinical planning through active participation in the development and implementation of Telehealth activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- 3-5 years of experience in operational areas of hospitals.
- Experience in healthcare essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge in PC operation and applicable software.
- Detail oriented with analytical and comprehensive skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills.
- Ability to travel to other locations as required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Clearances must be dated within 90 days.
