Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, design, implementation and administration of a patient and family centered care customer service model for the Family Resource Center. This includes personally assisting patients and family members in Maker/STEAM activities including operating a 3D printer, laser cutter and vinyl cutter, the children’s adopt a book library and family business center
- Participate in design, development, and implementation programs and initiatives.
- Provide support, where needed, for all events and activities including 1:1 and group sessions with children
- Provide first level support for department programs and initiatives. Communicate problems or complex requests to the Management.
- Maintain book supply with budget and working with donors
- Assist family members in the business center
- Develop and maintain documents and materials to support effective roll out of programs and initiatives.
- Participate in the documentation and submission of service requests to ISD and/or system vendor(s). Assist in the assignment of request priorities, and monitor and communicate the progress of the assigned requests.
- Assist with department administrative support.
- Develops and maintains Excel Spreadsheets
- Supervise the operation and maintenance of all library circulation. Oversee the entire EOS online circulation system, including the internal portal for library staff and the external OPAC for all library patrons (clinicians, staff, patients, and families
- Process all book donations from initial contact to distribution, including providing guidance and stewardship to community members for hosting successful book drives, coordinating receiving the donation, completing and processing all Gift-in-Kind paperwork
- - Lead the development, design, implementation, and administration of a patient- and family-centered care customer service model for Library Services. This includes personally assisting patients, family members and staff in locating and utilizing Library
- Oversee day-to-day library activities
- Classify and catalog all library materials. Obtain cataloging information by accessing the Library of Congress, National Library of Medicine, or Access PA databases and imports records into EOS to create holding records in EOS
- Provide support and assistance to Family Resource Center programs, initiatives, and events, and oversee the day-to-day operations of all Family Resource Center spaces and equipment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare or related field required
- Two years of experience in project planning and/or administrative functions required OR one year experience in project planning and/or administrative functions with completion of UPMC Summer Associates/Pittsburgh Fellows program required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Excellent client service skills and proven ability to deal effectively with employees, patients, and caregivers required
- Ability to coordinate projects, manage tasks, establish priorities make decisions, and follow issues through to resolution as directed, required
