Res Project Coordinator WPIC

Description

Purpose:
This lab conducts research on finding causes and mechanisms associated with psychotic disorders including schizophrenia. The Res Project Coordinator WPIC will be managing recruitment of research participants, overseeing the staff who are conducting research evaluations, guide and train them, maintain the budget and overall smooth running of the lab. Incumbent of this position will also have to do some research assessments when it is needed. 

This position is grant funded.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of project spending and funds available.
  • Coordinate the daily activities and special projects for department.
  • Coordinate scheduling of assessments.
  • Assist with quality assurance over all aspects of data collection and management, including data flow, data entry and verification, maintenance of all project databases, data security and confidentiality.
  • Provides regular supervision for junior staff.
  • Responsible for preparing and modifying IRB protocols, Regulatory Binders, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the research, clinical, and administrative staff related to this research.
  • Coordination of recruitment ie. Advertisements, tracking recruitment, and developing strategies to increase response in targeted populations.
  • Responsible for the submission of regular reports detailing the progress of the research, including NIH progress reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, business administration or related area of study and three years of relevant research and/or clinical experience is required.
  • Experience working with mental health populations preferred.

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) OR Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting
  • Act 33
  • Act 34
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
