Sherwood Oaks is hiring a casual Patrol Person!

Purpose:

Maintains a safe, secure environment for Sherwood Oaks residents, staff and visitors to the property. The patrol person also provides transportation for residents according to facility policies.

This is a limited part-time position that will work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with 24-hour coverage of the gatehouse each day, periodically monitors the lake for potential hazards
  • Is alert for irregularities, implements emergency procedures as necessary
  • Complete rounds according to the schedule for each shift, securing exits, checking lighting, inspecting exteriors around all buildings and inside laundry rooms and surveying the interior of the center
  • Respond to emergencies as needed
  • Attend all mandatory in-service education programs
  • Provide access to facilities by authorized residents and personnel
  • Provide transportation to residents for recreation and medical needs
  • Participate in meetings as directed by the Director of Security

Qualifications

High school diploma required.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Act 235F or Act 2350 (within the first 180 days of employment), BLS or CPR, CDL (within one year of employment) DOT Medical Card and UPMC Physical Fitness Standard.CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of employment

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
