Description

Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Supervisor in the Cash Posting Department for the CCP Central Billing office in Wexford. This position will be working Monday through Friday daylight shifts.

Purpose:

Responsible for the coordination and supervision of Cash Posting functions. Provides support, training, development and guidance of the Cash Posting staff in their daily activities. Interacts with personnel within the billing office and off-site practice locations responsible for performing other revenue cycle processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee/balance billing software (Epic) on a daily basis.
  • Works closely with other departments to effectively maintain policy and procedures.
  • Establish and implement control mechanisms to ensure cash posting duties.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for processes performing in the Cash Posting Department.
  • Work collaboratively with Billing Supervisor to develop and implement effective training program for CBO and remote location staff as it relates to Epic.
  • Ensure ERS downloads are current from clearing house.
  • Assist the Controller in the development and implementation of system enhancements as they related to the Cash Posting Departments.
  • Monitor claims editing reports for consistent errors and follow-up with staff for improvement in quality and performance.
  • Perform random audits of staff work to monitor performance and quality.
  • Investigate staff issues and provide feedback as appropriate on resolution.
  • Process credit card payment and NSF checks.
  • Provide support to the Billing Department as it relates to billing software system.
  • Interviews and participates in the final recommendation of subordinates for assigned staff based upon the required qualification of the job description.
  • Review cash posting reports to ensure cash posted in a timely, consistent manner.
  • Completes performance appraisals for subordinates and when necessary, recommends their discipline and/or discharge. Develops and revises subordinates performance standards and job descriptions. Recommends programs to increase employee motivation and continue development.
  • Analyze work flow to maximize automated cash posting functions.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum five (5) years work experience, with emphasis in automated cash posting and billing, preferably in a health care business office environment.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years supervisory experience.
  • Must be knowledgeable of electronic and manual claims submission.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong mathematical skills.
  • Analytical ability to effectively problem solve, develop and provide direction in the implementation of short and long-term goals; provide direction to subordinates in the resolution of problems or difficult tasks.
  • Supervisory skills necessary to organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities of subordinates.
  • Ability to complete subordinates' performance appraisals, department standards and job descriptions.
  • Ability to establish priorities and effective work flow patterns.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information involving patient information and all job assignments.
