Description
- Effectively prioritize and complete all assigned tasks.
- Work with users and developers to identify problems and propose solutions.
- Identify areas of concern that may compromise client satisfaction.
- Maintain employee/insured confidentiality.
- Meet deadlines and turnaround times set by managers and department director.
- Apply SQL programming to build data sets and ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting measures.
- Execute recurrent data processes and create exception reports for those recurrent processes.
- Identify, develop, and integrate new sources of data into existing databases.
- Develop validation and testing protocols to ensure accuracy and quality of final deliverables.
- Develop new reporting capabilities, reporting automation, and analytical dashboards.
- Design/update Power BI and Tableau dashboards.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to create financial models and present analyses.
- Investigate variances and derive solutions to cost increases and quality issues.
- Perform analyses, and then explain this analysis to a non-technical audience of both internal and external customers and, at times, senior management.
- Identify trends in expenses, utilization, medical quality, and other areas.
- Manage special projects.
- Monitor business unit operating performance against benchmarks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience required.
- Minimum of two years of general business experience required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in business/industry specialty required. Knowledge of commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare products preferred.
- Competent in MS Office and PC skills preferred.
- Working knowledge of COB (Coordination of Benefits) preferred.
- Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required.
