Description
Purpose:UPMC Tri Rivers Musculoskeletal Centers is currently hiring a Regular, Full-Time Lead Diagnostic Technologist! This multispecialty practice is focused in musculoskeletal care (Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Rheumatology services). This position will work a Monday - Friday daylight schedule. This position will primarily be located at the North Hills/McCandless and Mars offices. Travel to other locations including Butler and Slippery Rock will be required as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols alongside of or in place of advanced technologists and communicates results back to departmental leadership.
- Assists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.
- Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.
- Performs all responsibilities of Diagnostic Tech I and Advanced Diagnostic Tech II.
- Leads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame. Responsible for offering remediation with technologists when necessary
- Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor
Qualifications
- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- 3 years Diagnostic Imaging experience required.
- Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.
- Epic Care experience (Electronic Health Records)
- Digital Radiology experience using various systems is preferred
- Fluoroscopy experience is a plus
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT certified in Radiography. CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
