UPMC's Women's Center for Bladder Pelvic Health in Mechanicsburg is in need of a Licensed Practical Nurse to join their 2 provider office and fast paced team. This is a wonderful position if you enjoy using your skills, assisting with procedures, and want a great work/life balance.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM. NO EVENINGS. NO WEEKENDS. NO ON-CALL.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
- Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures i.e. Botox injections, cystoscopies, Urine Catheterizations
- Patient education and procedures with the Axonics bladder systems (Bladder 'pacemaker' like device)
- Teaching self catheterization to patients
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
- Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
- Comply with all policies and procedures.
- Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
- One year clinical experience preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
Clearances must be dated within 90 days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
