In collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine Chairman and the Family Health Center Medical Director on the design, implementation, assessment, outcome, and control of all quality programs integral to the practice of Family Medicine. In addition, the incumbent will work together with Director of Family and Community Medicine on assigned tasks for the Family Health Center.

  • Provide audit summary data to faculty for their review of resident documentation.
  • Provide support during the conversion of new computer systems.
  • Ensure that all quality assurance projects are designed to measure outcomes-based results, use the established timeframes for each quality assurance indicator, and analyze its effectiveness and reporting the results on the Monitoring and Evaluation Summary Report.
  • Supervisory responsibilities include the direction of small resident and physician teams engaged in the compilation and analysis of data.
  • Facilitate all activities relevant to the Family Health Center Quality Assurance Program.
  • Develop and manage office hour schedules for all faculty and residents.
  • Assist residents relative to senior year resident projects.
  • Work with established specific disease state protocols and practice standards to develop Q.A. indicators that are directly related to the continuum of care in Family Medicine.
  • Provide statistical reports based on audit results.
  • Work as a resource for HIPAA and JCAHO requirements.
  • Work with established specific disease-state protocols and practice standards to develop residency Quality Assurance indicators that are directly related to the training of the Family Practice Residents.
  • Compose Quality Assurance Summary Reports monthly and present the report at monthly staff meeting.
  • Create Quality Assurance Problem Analysis Reports, as necessary.
  • Facilitate the ongoing development of quality improvement initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in Family Medicine.
  • Incorporate Family Health Center quality assurance activities into the training of the Family Practice Residents to ensure compliance with ACGME requirements.
  • Develop methods for educating appropriate RNs, staff and physicians about new and changing quality assurance programs.
  • Provide analytical and technical support to community Family Physicians by identifying opportunities to enhance patient care and service.


  • Bachelor's degree or RN. 
  • Experience in research project development, implementation and evaluation are required. 
  • Ability to prepare clear and comprehensive reports.Capacity for independent and creative thinking and writing on research and statistical problems. Understanding of the Quality Improvement Process. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Excellent organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent verbal skill and be able to communicate with staff at all levels.
  • Prior EPIC and EpicCare experience strongly preferred
  • Residency template experience is preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
