UPMC Corporate Services is hiring a full time HRIS Cloud Analyst, Associate to help support the HRIS Department. This is a Monday through Friday daylight position located in downtown Pittsburgh and has the opportunity to work from home!

The HRIS Analyst will troubleshoot problems, support end-users in day-to-day needs, maintain and enhance the human resources information system. This role will function with close supervision and guidance on expected outcome and process to follow and will gain basic functional HRIS and HR knowledge as well as UPMC processes and procedures.  The position will support HR users along with project work.

  • Participates in professional activities and user forums to keep abreast of new developments in Human Resources and HRIS
  • Provides production support by actively monitoring departmental email and logging in to departmental phone system. Completes routine requests. Researches and resolves HR system problems, unexpected results or process flaws. Escalates and communicates issues through appropriate channels.
  • Provides fundamental system and procedural knowledge in one or more HR related subject areas. Recommends solutions or alternate methods for improvement that align with business needs and strategic goals.
  • Supports system improvements and maintenance under the guidance of the management team and senior staff. Completes basic configuration of the HR systems. Supports thorough execution and documentation of key activities (including design, testing, cutover). Supports change management, ensuring end users are well prepared.


  • Bachelor's degree in Information systems or similar program and familiarity with modern technology and application support through education or practical experience required. 
  • OR High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience with modern technology and application support through education or practical experience required. 
  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of information technology fundamental tools and concepts such as System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and applies that understanding to make independent practical contributions to work within the HRIS department.
  • Completes on-going training on-the-job, through courses, self-study, certifications and/or advanced degrees to maintain and enhance technical and business capabilities. 
  • Highly driven and self-motivated to exceed expectations. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Act 34 Criminal Clearance
